You might already know that Ford is taking under consideration a successor for the GT supercar. Now there are new rumors suggesting that the next model will in fact feature a hybrid powertrain. The new model will follow the same direction as the GT40 and the GT, but will feature a more advance technology available to deliver massive straight-line performance. Ferrari and Lamborghini will have lots of reasons to fear when the new model will be launched.
The exterior design will be distinguished by a huge front air intake, angular headlights and vents in the bonnet and flanks. But of course the most impressive features will be under the hood: a supercharged V8 engine with be combined with an electric motor driving the front wheels. With a total output of around 600 HP and a total weight of 1400 kilos, the new GT will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3 seconds, while top speed will be in the 200 mph area.
