GP Portugal, Lorenzo Champion Candidate

GP Portugal, Lorenzo Champion Candidate - Casey Stoner admits, Jorge Lorenzo became the strongest candidate to win the Portuguese Grand Prix this weekend. Nevertheless, the Australian rider is confident he and Ducati can continue the performance of their ciamik torehkan in the last four series.

Indeed, Stoner won three victories in four races last. After winning the Japanese GP and Aragon, he had failed in Malaysia because he could not finish. But two weeks ago in Australia, Stoner hardly any opponent because from start to finish, the 2007 world champion dominated the race to become champion.

Three wins makes Stoner is now closer to Dani Pedrosa, who inhabit the two positions. Now, Stoner just 23 points adrift with Repsol Honda rider, which is not yet certain Estoril circuit will perform in a broken collarbone injury following a fall during training at the Japanese GP.

Although the performance of his team are on-fire, very wary of Stoner Lorenzo. According to him, the new MotoGP world champion will still be the biggest threat and the person who must be defeated, because Lorenzo had a good record at Estoril, where she always wins in the last two years.

"I have mixed results at Estoril - some good results as when first win in the 250cc class in 2005 and climbed the podium in 2007, but there is also no good results when we have problems on camera in 2008. Then, we can ride podium again in 2009 ... Last year I was too quick in there, but Jorge faster. He is very strong at this circuit and I think we can expect him like this again on Sunday.

"We must remain focused on setting the job engine. We know there are many waves and our motors are usually reacted aggressively to the track conditions like this. Therefore, we have to see if it can adapt to the setting. GP10 work well in all conditions on the last few races, so we are very confident.
